Pumper Jack / The Jackalope
Many people wonder why I use a Jackalope for my image.
We are located in Douglas, Wyoming
"Home of the Jackalope."
Lappin my last name which means rabbit in French and pumper jack is a rabbit/Jackalope.
I named him "Pumper Jack" because he is a pumper and a Jack Rabbit / Jackalope .
A pumping unit is also known as a pump jack.
Hence the name "Pumper Jack".

I have worked in the oil patch since 1980 "yes I went thru the first big oil bust" and here we go again.
Over the last 38 yrs I've worked on work over rigs, drilling rigs, roustabout, welder and as a pumper.
I now own LapinTech LLC & Lappin Oil LLC.

Working as a pumper in Wyoming Scott Lappin couldn't keep his depleted oil wells from burning out their tubing head packing. After trying several products on the market with no success and several oil spills later he knew he had a problem to solve.
Scott realizing that when the wells pumped off, rubber stuffing box packing against metal polish rod created a great amount of friction and heat .
This loss of lubrication resulted in burning out the packing.
The solution would be reducing the rubber to metal contact.
A unique Teflon impregnated rope packing was the solution. It had self lubricating ability, heat resistance, and a tough nylon fiber.
Placing rope packing at the point of contact was critical.
Merging uniquely designed rubber cones & rings with Teflon impregnated rope packing seamed like a logical answer.
After numerous attempts to marry the two products a unique system was achieved resulting in high quality consistency and performance.
